The Nova Scotia History Discovery Kit / Histoire de la Nouvelle-Écosse Trousse de découverte contains eight historical artefacts related to the Resistance and Resilience series / série Résistance et résilience. Each intriguing object in the kit encourages deeper engagement with the eight-booklet set detailing the histories and legacies of perseverance among four of Nova Scotia’s foundational cultural groups.
With two objects relevant to each group, the kit also contains an English-language and a French-language resource guide book for teacher use. The resource guide describes each artefact, its history, and the booklet subject-matter it relates to. Offering a hands-on approach to learning, the kit will prompt students to ask more questions about the material they are reading.
